Regulations for Submission

Ⅰ. Manuscript Submission

  1. The corresponding author of a manuscript may be a non-member but is strongly encouraged to register for IEIE membership.
  2. At the time of submission, a substantial content of the manuscript should not overlap with one’s own manuscript already submitted to or published in other publication(s).
  3. The manuscript could be submitted at any time; however, the submission date is when the IEIE receives the manuscript.
  4. The manuscript should be submitted through the online submission on editorial system of the IEIE website. (http://www.theieie.org) At the time of submission, the submitting author is responsible for paying a fee of 40,000 KRW for regular review or 100,000 KRW for express review.

Ⅱ. Manuscript Preparation
  1. The manuscript should be written in Korean. However, the title, author, affiliation, corresponding author’s address, e-mail, tables, and figures should be in Korean and English.
  2. The manuscript should be in the following online format.
  3. References should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are first mentioned in the text.
  4. Sample references are given below:

Ⅲ. Publication of the Manuscript
  1. The editorial board accepts or rejects the manuscript through the review process. The editorial board may require partial revision or supplementation from the author(s).
  2.  When a manuscript has been accepted for publication, all author(s) must submit a color photo, research interests, and brief biographies.
  3.  Papers that have been accepted will be published in the order of receipt in principle.
  4. After being accepted for publication, the following rate will apply.
    1. 1 to 6 pages: 15,000 KRW per printed page (40,000 KRW for urgent publication).
    2. 7 to 8 pages: 30,000 KRW per printed page (50,000 KRW for urgent publication).
    3. 9 and more pages: 40,000 KRW per printed page (60,000 KRW for urgent publication).
    4. When the list of research sponsors is included, there will be an additional charge of 100,000 KRW.
    5. If the authors of a paper include any single non-member author on the publication date, their contribution shall be subject to additional 50% charge of the total publication fee written above.
  5. If an accepted paper needs to be published urgently under special circumstances, it may be published in the present issue subject to approval by the editorial board even if the order of publication of the paper does not correspond to the present issue. (Actual expenses resulting from the additional publication shall be borne by the author)
  6. All copyrights related to adopted papers shall be vested in the IEIE, and the authors shall maintain the following rights:
    1. The authors may use part of the manuscript in other papers.
    2. The authors or organizations to which the authors are affiliated may reprint the paper for the authors’ personal purpose or for the organization’s internal purpose as long as the purpose is not commercial.
    3. The authors or organizations to which the authors are affiliated may distribute parts of paper or the entire paper specified to be published by the IEIE in a limited number before the paper is published by the IEIE.
    4. If the results of the studies conducted are based on the support of the Korean government or other institutions, the IEIE shall regard that the copyrights for the paper have been transferred to the IEIE free of charge by the Korean government or other institutions.
